Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about coaching, the process, and what to expect.
What’s the difference between coaching and therapy?
Coaching is focused on skill-building, growth, and moving forward. It’s not therapy, diagnosis, or treatment. If you’re experiencing a mental health crisis or need clinical care, I’ll help connect you with appropriate resources.
Do you take insurance?
Coaching is private pay and not covered by insurance. Payment plans may be available—let’s talk during your discovery call.
How often do we meet?
Most clients meet weekly or biweekly for 50-minute sessions. We’ll find a rhythm that works for you.
What happens on the first call?
The discovery call is a free 15-minute conversation where we get to know each other, talk about what you’re looking for, and see if coaching feels like the right fit.
Is this crisis support?
No. Coaching is not crisis care or emergency support. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please call 988 (US) or local emergency services immediately.
Who is this not a fit for?
Coaching may not be the right fit if you’re currently in acute crisis, experiencing severe mental health symptoms, or need a higher level of clinical care. I’m happy to help you explore other options that might be a better match.
What are your credentials?
I am a Licensed Life Coach with an MSW (Master of Social Work) and currently in the LCSW licensure track. The services I offer are coaching and education, not psychotherapy, diagnosis, or treatment.
What if I’m not sure I’m ready?
That’s completely okay. The free 15-minute discovery call is a chance to explore without any commitment. You don’t need to have it all figured out.
Still have questions?
Let’s talk. The discovery call is the perfect place to ask anything you’re wondering about.
